Welcome to Trail Talk

by Dave Baker Thursday, December 4th 2008

Welcome to the inaugural post in Summit Hut’s new blog, Trail Talk. I'm Dave Baker, owner and founder of Summit Hut, an independent outdoor gear company based in Tucson, Arizona since 1969. To a large extent, I have been inspired to start this blog by the response to an Arizona Trail blog at summithut.com which was posted as I walked the Trail last spring. I will generally devote this space to discussion about the Summit Hut stores, the outdoor industry, gear information and tips, trip logs and trail guides. I’ll try to get a post up every week or so. I hope you find the posts interesting, and look forward to your feedback.

I just wanted to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog about the AZT. After hiking the PCT last year, I've been having a hard time getting motivated about doing the AZT. Your well written blog has helped to renew my excitement for walking across this beautiful state. Congrats on the hike and thanks for writing about it!!
